Alexis, owner of Instagram account Meadow and Fawn, has attracted followers around the world thanks to her adorable miniature animals.

Inspired by her love of nature, Alexis makes delicate sculptures that can fit on your fingers with ease. She uses polymer clay for all her handcrafted tiny totems and sells them on her online shop.

Her Instagram account provides information on how she creates the sculptures, posting the stages from painting to styling the miniatures. Each piece is unique and made by the artist herself. Took just a wee breather from the nearly daily posting here and it already feels rejuvenating coming back at it. Such an important thing to remember to do these days to avoid burning out, especially with the demands of the algorithm. My latest sculpture ~ a waterlily pond in a teacup, with a visiting mute swan. One of my favorite little details is the teacup handle somewhat resembling the graceful curvature of the swan neck. The waterlilies were hand crafted with paper, paint and wire. Swan hand sculpted and painted. Then to create the water effect I slowly layered resin inside a porcelain vintage teacup from the early 1960s {I have just three more cups from the set}.
