This Awesome Wooden Clock Expands and Contracts with Each Passing Hour

London-based studio Animaro recently presented their newest product Solstice, which is probably one of the coolest wall clocks you’ll ever encounter. Designed by Matt Gilbert, this clock has the ability to shape shift with each passing hour.

It gradually expands and contracts through a 12-hour cycle, resembling a flower that opens and closes its petals. However, if you don’t want to wait 12 hours for Solstice to fully expand or contract, you can opt for a 60 seconds cycle.

“In modern day life, time and a need for absolute accuracy has become a source of stress. We at Animaro, believe the passing of time can be something of beauty.” – said the studio about their project adding that they also want to “celebrate mechanical movements and bring back a closeness with the objects in our home” with Solstice.
