They say the best things in life are free and there are people who will ask for freebies whenever possible.
Artist Jon Arton from Birmingham, England has received a lot of free drawing requests and he gladly gives them their demand, well not just as good as those paid drawings though.
“Every now and again I try to do free drawings! I really appreciate all of you for following, liking and commenting on my Instagram. It really means a lot to me so when I can, I like to show my appreciation by accepting some of your wonderful free drawing requests in my inbox. As a full-time artist who relies on selling art to survive, these requests come as a real treat and it means a lot to me to be given the opportunity to put the years of practice, time and the expensive materials into a free drawing of your face for yourself,” he wrote on one of his posts.
“Art isn’t really seen as a job/career but more of a hobby which you enjoy, so people assume you would be happy to do it for a little bit of ‘exposure,’” he told Bored Panda.
“I wish I could do drawings for free,” Jon added. “It is something I have done for giveaways to my followers online or for charity. Sadly, I have to fund my expensive pencil habit.”
