Nyango Star is a giant Japanese mascot cat-apple hybrid who’s become an internet sensation thanks to his drumming skills.
The video below shows Nyango Star playing Anpanman’s March, the theme song to an animated show called Soreike! Anpanman.
The mascot got its name after the Beatles’ drummer Ringo Star. Ringo is a Japanese word for apple, while Nyan is their onomatopoeia for ‘meow’.
