Watchmaker Breaks and Compares Watches with Swiss and Japanese Movements

Swiss and Japanese movements are considered to be the best watch movements in the world. They are both excellent, but there are some differences between them.

Ryan Jewell, a professional watchmaker from New York, decided to break down two Carpenter watches to compare them on camera for the Deconstructed series.

The first watch is Swiss and is much more expensive ($825) while the other one is Japanese and costs a little less ($595).

See him taking the watches apart and comparing their essence below. It’s mesmerizing to watch even if you don’t know anything about watches!
