60-Year-Old Quits Office Job to Become a Full-Time Artist

A lot of people dream about quitting their jobs and focusing on things that make them passionate, but just a handful of them really do it. One of them is a 60-year-old named Chewie, who decided to quit his office job and become a full-time artist.

Chewie was passionate about art in his youth but ended up choosing a different career. This means that he didn’t actually have any previous art training and was starting from scratch. However, that didn’t discourage him. He is improving his skills every day and truly enjoys creating ink artworks of animals, landscapes, architecture, and much more.

Chewie’s unusual story, as well as his exceptional art, have brought him a significant following on Instagram. He now hopes that his success will encourage others to pursue their dreams.

“I’m not a typical artist success story. I started drawing at 55. No formal art education. Never exhibited my work. No fancy art studio, just my my kitchen. No big canvases, just an A5 sketchbook. And yet I’m here to show you that you can be a full-time artist even if you didn’t follow the traditional path in art careers and simply enjoy drawing, “Chewie shared in a recent chat with Bored Panda.
