Adorable Paper Art Made From Hundreds Of Strips of Paper

California-based artist, Zahra Ammar, is in love with paper and she uses its versatility and form to create some stunning works of art. Ammar combines different techniques such as quilling, kirigami, and modular origami and she learned to do this all by herself.

“These intricate pieces can take from a day up to six months to make”, Ammar wrote for Bored Panda, “They are made from archival, acid-free paper that I hand-cut at various lengths and widths. In the end, the shapes come alive as a paper sculpture with depth and beautiful dimensionality”.

The inspiration for her work comes from themes that are close to her as food, writing poetry and wandering outside on her bike. The artist actually has a background in Economics and Finance, but we guess that her love for folding and cutting paper eventually prevailed.
