Jenny Yu, an illustrator from L.A., creates mesmerizing illustrations that capture magical moments of solitude. Her art contains elements we all know and love, but don’t think about them too often – golden morning light through the curtains, city streets when it rains, people-watching from a quiet café.
“I think illustrations are a way to capture a single moment and feeling that can be particularly intense,” Yu says. “Sometimes I see the way light hits a certain material and I think, ‘Wow, that’s so incredibly beautiful. I hope I can show someone else how beautiful and wondrous this feels to me’ ”
