Talented artists don’t need much to get inspired and produce impressive artworks. For some, even everyday play items like a surveillance camera or a magnet can cause a creative spark and lead to something special.

Korean artist Rino Park, better known as Rinotuna on social media, has a habit of drawing inspiration from seemingly ordinary things and making extraordinary artworks. Park’s main focus is designing Anime characters based on things that surround him. In the past, he created characters using animals and insects as a reference but decided to turn to everyday items more recently.

“I like to create characters inspired by many things in the world,” the artist shared about his creative process. “I hope my works could show you the beauty of it.”

It appears that Park can create an Anime character from everything, no matter if it’s food, household item, or even something that is internet-based. He recently even presented an awesome design of a character for which he used the Discord logo as a reference. Unbelievable!

Rinotuna regularly shares his works on social media, where he amassed an impressive following that includes over 700K followers on Instagram alone. Continue scrolling to check out more of them below.

Rafael Serra is a Portuguese lettering artist and designer who reimagines logos of popular brands in a retro and vintage style through his ongoing “Lettering Series”.

Serra is visibly inspired by billboards and advertising campaigns of the 1970s. He uses a combination of bright colors, rigid shapes, and “old-school” lettering to infuse the feel of the era to the modern logos.

Despite being sent back in time by Serra, the logos are still instantly recognizable and keep the same appeal. Arguably, some even look prettier in their retro outfit.

Art has a way of blending worlds together, and such is definitely the case with time periods as well. Serra is showing that it’s possible to combine the genius of modern companies with the brilliance of the past, and we’re loving every minute of it.

Among the brands that received a remake by Serra are Instagram, YouTube, Netflix, Pizza Hut, and more. Through this new retro lens, we’re able to see these modern companies in a new light.

Check out his works below, and feel free to follow this artist on Instagram as well! Which of these did you like best?

Stephanie Ramplin is a 3D artist who enjoys creating these adorable characters in colorful outfits that will put a smile on your face. Sassy and funny, her characters often come to life in the 3D animations she creates.

“I love combining kitsch, sparkles, and a high heel with the splendor of everyday situations. There are lots of cute characters, chunky thighs, and a sarcastic sense of humor,” the artist tells Creative Boom.

When it comes to scenes she puts them in, they’re incredibly mundane but also charming. Eating pizza, watering plants, or simply hanging out in the bedroom, her characters are relatable and just wonderful.

Ramplin was born in Bristol and now lives in London. Without any formal training in design (she studied music instead), she started making illustrations when she was very young. Her career started in arts marketing and continued to develop from there.

The artist has worked with some big clients before, including names like Universal Music, London Symphony Orchestra, and the YMCS. During the lockdown, she had more free time to work on personal projects so she made a lot of illustrations and GIFs which you can see on her Instagram page.

If you regularly spend time on social media, then the chances are that you came across the works from Alessandro Malossi. This Italian artist, who has almost 200,000 followers on Instagram, creates impressive thought-provoking photo manipulations that reflect everyday life.

Malossi started his artistic journey as a student at the New Academy of Fine Arts where he “acquired technique and began to paint inside the edges.” After graduating, he began exploring other ways to express his creativity which included making illustrations, working as a tattoo artist, and even engaging in fashion art. This brought him collaborations with high-profile brands such as Calvin Klein and Nike.

Most recently, Malossi engaged in digital art and photo manipulations that reflect his “daily distorted and surrealistic vision of the world.” These works have been quite popular among internet users as they encourage them to think about common things in a different way.

For example, one of Malossi’s works shows a cigarette burning in a shape of a gun, representing a deadly consequence of smoking. Another imagines popular streaming music service Spotify as a pack of pills, illustrating the fact that music is a daily therapy for a large number of people.

Check out Malossi’s creations below.

Voglio Bene is an “artistic decoration brand” created by French street artist and photographer Benedicte Piccolillo. While the brand covers Piccolillo’s multiple artistic efforts, it is best known for her alternative interventions on old paintings.

Piccolillo had her beginnings as a photographer, working more than 10 years in the field. Over time, she began exploring digital art and was increasingly intrigued by the artistic potential that photo-editing software like Photoshop offers. Parallel to that, she also grew as a street artist.

At one point, Piccolillo decided to combine her love for contemporary art disciplines with her appreciation for the works of classical painters and artists.

With her newfound skills in photo-editing, she began altering the subjects of old art, giving them a more modern and alternative look. This included equipping them with tattoos, piercings, and colorful headwear.

According to Piccolillo, she mostly works on pieces from the Italian and Spanish Renaissance but isn’t strange to art from other eras.

Thanks to its unique take on old art, Voglio Bene quickly started getting recognition from not only art lovers but also notable art institutions. According to Piccolillo, she has been already approached by “French castles and museums” for collaborations.

Star Wars is one of the biggest franchises in the world and it seems that the characters and motifs from this popular movie series are everywhere. You can find them on cups, T-shirts, lunch boxes, pens, and thanks to Australian artist Scadarts: now even in classical artworks.

A few months ago, Scadarts posted an illustration of Obi-Wan Kenobi in which he reimagined the Star Wars character as some of the famous historic military generals. The creation quickly drew attention from the fans of the franchise, who responded with an overwhelmingly positive reaction.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CHdT5ffAZkD

After receiving encouraging feedback, Scadarts decided to turn this into a full project and create a series of illustrations that feature Star Wars characters invading classical artworks. This included Baby Yoda replacing Adam in Michelangelo’s “The Creation of Adam” and Jar Jar Binks starring in Edvard Munch’s “The Scream.”

What makes his pieces so beautiful is that he’s showing how art overlaps in a multitude of ways, as well as the idea that everyone interprets movies in their own way. With his art, Scadarts is showing us what Star Wars means to him.

It’s not hard to see that Piper Thibodeau is an artist with a great sense of humor. She describes herself as a former full-time character designer for DreamWorks TV and freelance designer whose portfolio is overloaded with projects done for Nickelodeon, Intel, Sesame Street, and GameLoft.

Currently, she is working on a project where she depicts hilarious yet whimsical illustrations of animals becoming puns. Hamster becomes a Slamstar, a siamese is now Cyaneseβ€”you get the idea. Perhaps the best way to explain it is for you to see it for yourself.

Her artistic journey began eight years ago in 2012, and since then, her goal has remained the same: to continue and evolve as she grows artistically.

“I really enjoy focusing on optimism in my work, particularly during these hard times, and if my work manages to add a little ounce of sunshine into the viewer’s day, I consider that a win!” the artist told Bored Panda.

You can buy greeting cards, prints, and stickers from her website and support her journey on Patreon so she could improve both her work and equipment.

Check out the gallery below if you want to see the adorable puns.

Art director and designer Santi Zoraidez creates digital illustrations that are unique as they are strange. His creative blend of abstract and surreal concepts makes him a true visionary, with the end result often performing as an imaginative landscape that strikes the viewer.

β€œI like to see how shapes and objects interact with each other, and how I can use the way that they look to communicate an idea,” explained Zoraidez in an interview with Grafik. β€œWhether in motion or as still image, this is the way I approach a project.”

With almost 70,000 followers and clients like Apple, Nike and Ikea, his colorful explorations have clearly registered with other people. With a passion for interior design and architecture, alongside graphic design and art installations, his work has both an artistic and commercial appeal.

β€œI always try to mix these different influences within my own work,” he shares. “There is something interesting to me about the compositions I can create and the way that shapes interact with each other, together with a sense of space or volume, and referring mostly to real materials.”

On top of his passion for design, his work also has an element of humor in it that add to an overall sense of quirky surrealism. Show him some love on Instagram.

Every girl dreams about her wedding day and how she will say β€œYES” to the dress of her dreams, right? Well, the same happened to one Pilipino artist and huge Disney fan named Greco Archibald who imagined what his favorite princesses would look like on their big day.

The Philippines-based self-taught illustrator created a series of images where he dressed up his princesses into wedding gowns. The collection included his favorite ladies like Snow White, Cinderella, Ariel, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Merida, Elsa, and Moana. Whilst, Anya, Esmeralda, Princess Kida, and Megara from Hercules has also joined the team.

From beautiful white gowns full of admirable details to golden, silver, and cappuccino dresses, the princesses looked astonishing, waiting for their Prince charming to marry them. Besides imagining his favorite princesses happily ever after, Greco also draws other digital illustrations inspired by Disney movies.

Are you getting married soon? If you still haven’t bought your wedding dress, maybe these images can give you some inspiration.
