Couple Travels and Saves Memories in Embroidery

Elin Petronella and Charles Henry are a couple who’s found an unusual way to save their travel memories. They are both textile artists from Europe who love exploring European cities. They create embroideries of the most remarkable architecture and landmarks.

They both have significant roles in creating their art. Elin focuses more on the details of the buildings they want to recreate while Charles is in charge of the color of stitching. That way, they are sure they will perfectly recreate an object every time.

Scroll down to see why they have over 100,000 followers on Instagram. They also sell their artwork and PDF patterns so you can purchase either their embroidery or a pattern to make your own.

One of the best things about having a podcast is that we get to meet other artists and creative entrepreneurs “behind the scenes”. Too often artistry can feel like a competition when in reality we do better when we collaborate and help each other. As artists we have the privilege of being a “unique brand” in ourselves, which can never be fully replicated. So let’s stop compare ourselves and instead embrace each other’s successes and art. To be able to raise the value of fiberarts and bring it into the galleries, we have to work together 🙏🏻 . One step is to share more of who we are. Personally I find it super interesting and inspiring to see the creator behind their works (which is why I’m literally trying to imitate a “behind the artwork” scene in this picture 😅) as well as to hear their stories. In today’s podcast episode we had the pleasure to listen to Dani @begoodnatured ‘s story on how she went from wanting to be a vétérinaire, to find herself working as a conservation educator before ending up as a full time fiberartist… how did that happen? Find out by listening to her inspiring story on Charles and Elin podcast – available on all podcast platforms ☺️ (or you can just follow the link in my profile @petronella.art ) . Would love to hear your thoughts on the topic above 🌸 . Ps. Today is also the LAST day to get this Paris design inspired from le Marais. Sign up today and you’ll have it in your inbox within 24hrs 😘🙌🏻 you can find the link in my stories and through the menu in my profile 💕
