Last week, the world celebrated Farrokh Bulsara’s aka Freddie Mercury’s 72nd birthday. This British singer, songwriter, record producer and lead vocalist of the legendary rock band  Queen, before becoming worldwide known, worked as a baggage handler at the Heathrow Airport in 1970.

The British Airways and Heathrow’s baggage handlers celebrated his birthday by rocking an amazing tribute to their fellow colleague. They dressed up in moustaches and biker jackets and had an amazing dance performance to his “I Want To Break Free” song in Heathrow’s Terminal 5. The credit of these dance moves which were practiced for weeks goes to choreographers from Strictly Come Dancing.

The airport will have an all-day celebration in honor of Mercury’s birthday by featuring Queens songs on its arrival boards, memorabilia in the departures lounge as well. Travelers named Freddie, Frederick or Farrokh will be invited into the BA First lounge, along with anyone else they are travelling with to celebrate this important day.
