A Huge Statue of a Dog Balancing Taxi on Its Head Shows Up in NYC

There’s a new art piece in New York City in front of the NYC Langone Hospital and it’s incredible: it’s a 30-foot tall statue of a dog balancing a real taxi on its head! It was made by Donald Lipski and you can see the timelapse of its installation below.

Spot! is meant to cheer up the patients and visitors of the hospital, as the artist wrote in a Facebook post. “I like to think that the parents, the doctors, the nurses, the staff and the neighbors, will all be smitten by this playful, heroic young dog doing the impossible. Art has actual healing power,” he said.
