Richard Wilkinson is a freelance illustrator from Brighton, UK. He worked on many science and editorial magazines as well as working on several books.
Recently, he’s working on a collection of illustrations that combined natural history and modern culture. His current project, “Arthropoda Iconicus,” is a compilation of imaginary insects inspired by pop culture. The first book “Volume I: Insects From A Far Away Galaxy,” takes its inspiration from Stars Wars movie.
Each insect looks like a character, creature, or vehicle from our favorite sci-fi film. Some are easily recognizable. He also has other collections that are in progress based on superheroes, Pokemon, Sanrio, Disney characters and many more. Scroll down to see his amazing creations.
