Artist Joey Yu does it all and then some. At only 24-years-old, she works as an illustrator and animator, on top of dabbling in curation and fashion. Based in London, she’s the sort of it girl that makes a splash both online and offline; with more than 85k followers on Instagram as well as clients as big as The New York Times, Hermes, and Ermenegildo Zegna.
“Believe you are someone important, and you will be,” is her advice to others. “I literally knew what I wanted to be since I was tiny,” she explained in an interview with Babyface. “Apparently when I was younger I would say I was going to be an author and an illustrator. I was obsessed with the library, I literally rinsed the children’s section of every book.”
She admits that her life-work balance is “very precarious,” but adds that as she’s always wanted to do anything and everything – she’s happy with this precarious balance.
