While waiting for a new movie about the world’s favorite ogre, fans aren’t just waiting around doing nothing.
Over 200 artists gathered around and collaborated on the scene-by-scene retelling of the original Shrek movie. With every artist doing a scene in their own, unique way, the final result is a perfect mix of forms and techniques ranging from pixel art to live-action and CGI. If you’re thinking that’s absurd, you couldn’t be more right.
The feature-length remake titled Shrek Retold will come out on November 29 on the 3GI website and the trailer is available below. The comments are mostly positive so far and we can’t wait to see the complete film.
