Pixelated Glitches Inserted in Painted Portraits

Aldo Sergio uses traditional painting techniques to create portraits of Victorian families, birds, food and other objects then distorts them by covering in pixelated glitches.

His delicately painted glitches give his artworks an odd movement, giving a blunt contrast to the stillness of traditional paintings. In one of his pieces, a Victorian family poses behind green plants, adding pixelated rectangular lines throughout the portrait.
