Robin F. Williams is a painter from New York who paints powerful portraits that often show women. Most of the time, her canvases contain just one figure with strong, broad shoulders and dramatic eyes. Williams’ works feature various painting styles and techniques and nearly always burst with colors.
“I am interested in micro-expressions and how we read each other’s cues. There seems to be a lot of illiteracy around body language and not enough acknowledgment that non-verbal cues can be, and sometimes have to be, very complicated,” she explained in an interview with Juxtapoz.
Williams’ work is currently exhibited in Los Angeles, at Various Small Fires, where it will stay until October 26th, 2019. If you can’t check it out in person, go to her Instagram account where she posts new paintings all the time.
