Tal Peleg always loved all kinds of art. The Israel-based artist started off as an illustrator, but soon she found a new way to express herself: through makeup.
Tal is not a regular makeup artist though. She focuses on a single area of the face: the eyes. Instead of regular blended eyeshadows, Peleg uses her eyelids as a canvas to recreate famous paintings and Disney movie scenes on the small space between her eyelashes and eyebrows.
For Peleg, makeup is an amazing art form that she uses to make her eyes tell a story. It’s a challenge, and not just because of how tiny her works are – unlike regular canvass, the eye isn’t flat or still. She has to work with its curves and lines, and try not to move too much in the process. The tiny art pieces take hours to finish, so it also requires a lot of patience. But that suits Peleg just fine – she like the challenge.
Peleg
creates all sorts of paintings on her eyelids. She inspired by anything cute – nature,
fairytales and Disney movies – but has also recreated real-life masterpieces
like Dali’s works. Whatever her inspiration is, each and every single one of her
creations is a joy to look at.
