“The Tulip”, a 1000-Foot Skyscraper for Tourists, To Be Built In London By 2025

The J. Safra Group and Foster + Partners are planning to build a new skyscraper in London called The Tulip. If the City of London Corporation approves it, the construction will begin in 2020 and end in 2025.

The building should be located next to The Gherkin, standing at 1001.7 ft or 305.4m high. It will have “a classroom in the sky”, an education facility at its top that would offer free education for 20,000 children in London. The building will be almost entirely covered in glass, offering incredible views of the city.

Some people are already criticizing the distinctive shape of The Tulip, while others are thrilled a building like this may be added to the landscape of London.
