This Illustrator is a “Visual Mindblower”

Illustrator and graphic designer, known online as Yogatella, describes herself as a “visual mindblower.” A bold statement, but then again, so is her art. Full of vivacity and spunk, her illustrations seem to jump right out the screen.

Inspired by people, food, and nature, her art is driven by a passion for color and contrast. “They are my everything and I use them in abundance,” Yogatella explained her use of color in her interview with Ballpitmag. After colors come textures. “I need them a lot to communicate the nature of the art itself,” she explained.

Her end goal? To create a colorful universe that people can step right into. “I am waiting for the day when people will be able to enter an illustration and feel the painted texture just by starring at the art,” she says. “I also am drawn to patterns, weird characters but also enjoy creating functional illustrations.”

“For me, the work of an artist is just the seed that would evolve into a thousand other trees,” she added. “The artist plants an idea, a concept or a feeling and the world can multiply it in million various ways. Before I start any sketching, I give it a lot of time to the story behind my art.”
