This family of three, mom Mel, dad Al and 5-year-old Martha share all their bookish adventures on their blog and Instagram on a very creative way. This little family is based on the edge of Peak District, England, and their true passion are books; they review them, they write about literary travels and bookshops. They are now building their own library, and their collection counts more than 2000 books.

We feel as if we've been going around in circles this month – working like crazy but not really getting very far so decided we needed some time out. 🏖️ After hanging out in our bookish jacuzzi with a pile of books we're beginning to feel energised again. We all enjoy a bit of art in our house – both admiring it and making it. In fact it's probably Tiny M's favourite pastime so we were very chuffed when @laurencekingpub sent us The Painting-In Book by Anna Rumsby. 🎨 It has 30 different activity sheets where kids (and adults) can try out different painting techniques. Little M to the rescue!!! She's now determined to save the planet after reading How to Help a Hedgehog and Protect a Polar Bear by @_jess_french & @angelakeoghan 🌍 This beautifully illustrated guide introduces the reader to thirteen different habitats – from gardens to mountains – then gives them practical advice about how to protect each one. 🌎 Since she's owned this book Little M has become much more aware about the things she can do to help wildlife – quitting plastic straws, using less water and switching lights off. 🌏 We were sent this copy in exchange for a review and honestly I've been astonished by the impact it's had on Little M. July was a slow reading month for me. The heat cooked my brain and there were too many other distractions – a business to set up, a little girl to look after, photos to take.
