Veselka Bulkan is a true genius when it comes to embroidery. Her tiny works of embroidery feature mainly herbs, plants, and flowers, with each original piece sold on her online store – the Little Herb Bouquet. But it wasn’t until Bulkan got pregnant that her small brand got its biggest exposure, thanks to one creative embroidery work.
“Last year around the spring, it was the first months of my pregnancy,” she explained on her personal website. “I was thinking of making something particular for these days of my life. Then, I came up with an idea of a baby ultrasound embroidery and announcing my pregnancy this way. I was imaging from her ultrasounds how my little one will look like, and thinking of a keepsake of these beautiful days. Now, this is piece is a part of our nursery.”
Her ultrasound embroidery went, naturally, viral and inquiries regarding custom orders came flooding in. Right now, the list of orders is so long she simply can’t handle it all, explaining that “embroidering is a slow process at all, and most of my current time is obviously dedicated to my little one for the moment.”
“I need to balance the number of orders and the time for my creativity flow, and creating free time, recharging, and having rest,” she explained. But her works are still worth checking out, in the meanwhile.
