You may have heard about Emily Seilhamer from our previous posts. She’s an artist who creates beautiful art using unconventional materials. She loves painting and finding beauty in discarded things. She creates “value” from these objects and this type of recycling is called upcycling.

Every December, Seilhamer and her husband make unconventional Christmas tree. For this year, they used a stack of paint samples they saved from their house repairs. They also used some old Venetian blinds and wires to form the tree structure. Then they attached the paint samples and some decorations and the result is simply amazing. Even the star is made from the blinds.

Seilhamer hopes that through her artwork, she will inspire others to use resources around them and to think outside the box. Check out her incredible recycled creation below.
