Artist Creates Miniature Birds That Are Smaller Than Pencil Leads

Marie Cohydon is a French artist who makes extraordinary pieces of art. She carves miniature birds that are invisible to the eye.

Also known as microsculpturefly on Instagram, Marie has been creating art since she was a little girl, however, as she says, her passion began growing more in her adolescence. Her love for sculpting started over a decade ago, but her interest isn’t ordinary everyday sculpting; she focuses on tiny things where she can’t even see her fingers and her main tools are sewing or acupuncture needles. Meanwhile, painting the bird’s head is for her even a bigger challenge, and requires more work and patients than the carving.

Marie, apart from her amazing birdies, also makes tiny 1 mm houses placed on pinheads and funny friendly scenes.
