Cariuma and Van Gogh Museum Team Up For Limited Collection of Sneakers

The art of Dutch Post-Impressionist painter Vincent Van Gogh is coming to life through a new collection of sneakers by footwear brand Cariuma.

Cariuma teamed up with Van Gogh Museum to create four sneaker models inspired by some of Van Gogh’s most famous works. The first two models are adorned by motifs from 1889’s painting Sunflowers. Customers can opt for a white leather model or an off-white canvas model.

The third model has motifs from 1890’s Wheatfield with Crows that cover the entire upper canvas of the sneaker.

Finally, the fourth model is embellished with a jubilee flower pattern, which was specially created to celebrate the Van Gogh Museum’s 50th anniversary.

The collection aims to celebrate the art of Vincent Van Gogh as well as the beauty of nature, according to the Van Gogh Museum.

“The collection displays the immense beauty of our planet, reminding us to look around and implement daily decisions centered around nourishing and protecting our natural world,“ it says on the museum’s official website.

The sneakers are currently available through Cariuma’s webshop in a range of sizes. In line with its sustainability efforts, Cariuma committed to planting two trees in the Brazilian rainforest for every pair that it sells.
