Taking a great shot for your Instagram page sometimes takes a lot of time and effort, and no one knows this better than Kimberly Douglas. She became a huge star on Instagram by taking incredible DIY photos that look straight out of the pages of Vogue.
Douglas decided to give modeling a shot when she was 18, but couldn’t afford to pay photographers. After reaching out to dozens of them with no success, she decided to do it all on her own, and create her own photoshoot sets from scratch.
Douglas was aware that taking regular photos won’t be enough to get noticed, so she started thinking outside the box. She started using props and created unique sets on her own, and the low budget didn’t stop her from coming up with something that would fit right on the cover of your favorite fashion magazine.
One thing that we adore the most about Douglas is the fact she’s very open about her creative process. Each of her shoots comes with behind-the-scenes photos and lengthy captions that detail her journey, in case anyone else wants to give it a try.
