Korean Artist Illustrates the Happiest Moments of Living Alone

Can solitude bring you joy? Many people think so, as they cherish the rare moments of being completely alone, without the noise of the outside world. Korean artist Aeppol finds these moments incredibly important and bases her artwork around them.

“I feel special from very tiny things –  fairy tales that I loved when I was young, some dream stories, tiny wildflowers, and white clouds in the blue sky,” Aeppol said. “And these are a huge part of my drawings.”

가을의 틈새 (Through the autumn) 붉고 노랗게 빛났던 가을은 한올 한올 잎새를 가지에서 떨어내더니 조금 더 짙고 그윽해졌습니다. 떨어져 내리는 낙엽들 사이로 시리도록 푸른 하늘과 반짝이며 빛나던 계절이 눈치채지 못하는 사이 조금씩 지나갑니다. 짧기에 더욱 아쉬운 계절. 가을, 하고 더 불러볼 겨를도 없이 성큼 우리곁을 달아나기에 이 계절이 더욱 아름답게 느껴집니다. The world was colored with red and yellow in this autumn and when the leaves started falling from the trees, the season became deeper and more mellow. The season that glowed and the bright blue sky is slowing is passing us through the falling leaves. It feels lacking as this season lasts short.
