Paper Artist Made Human Organs Using City Maps

Berlin-based illustrator and paper artist Katrin Rodegast made a series of paper human organs using city maps. Her project was dedicated to Globe, the magazine of ETH Zurich, Swiss science, technology, engineering, and mathematics university. Rodegast created the organs by rolling and cutting colorful maps, forming a heart, brain, lungs, spine, and knee joint.

The artist has been collaborating with big brand names like Google, Coca-Cola, Allianz, Deutsche Bahn, Deutsche Telekom, ARD, UBS, Kaviar Gauche & Jules Mumm, Kraft Foods, Volkswagen, dm and many more.

Her work has been also published in media worldwide such as The New York Times Magazine, Architectural Digest, Wired, Dallas Observer, SZ Magazin, Die Zeit, Zeit Wissen, GQ, FAZ, NZZ, Brigitte, Spiegel Wissen, Time Out, Focus, Geo, Nido, Proto Magazine, etc.
