Dutch artist Redmer Hoekstra thinks that every human being makes its own reality, whether he or she is aware of it or not. Based in a small town situated between Arnhem and Nijmegen, the artist’s goal is to make people know that by exaggerating reality thorough his art and to just make them smile. His specialty is, as he explains, to blend people, animals, and everyday objects together in his drawings.
“I made these drawings using fineliners. What I like about working with ink is that it is final, and there is no correction,” the artist shared in a post on Bored Panda. “The images flow from my mind. Things I see in my day to day life morph into my little surreal reality that makes me laugh, admire, and marvel. It makes me reflect on the things I do and why I do them in that particular way.”
