American superhero flick “Captain Marvel” had its world premiere this month. So far it has grossed over $820 million worldwide, which makes it the highest-grossing movie of 2019.
The world went totally crazy for this famous superhero and South Koreans are no exception. Not only did South Koreans like the movie, but they also fell in love with the film’s cat, Goose.
Goose became such a huge star and important part of the story, that he even got its own movie poster. But the cat became an internet sensation when fans in South Korea started photoshoping their own cats into the Captain Marvel posters.
Goose started a trending topic under the hashtag “#캡틴마블_우리집구스” which basically means “Captain Marvel-My Goose”. Now the entire world is sharing photos of their cats as Goose, and the meme seems to be unstoppable.
The story doesn’t end there – not everyone has a cat at home so fans had to show their creativity. That’s why you can find all sorts of animals on posters, including a squirrel and a goose.
