Artist Draws Adorable Japanese-Asian Style Comics

Evangeline Neo, Evacomics on Instagram, is a Singaporean artist who draws cute Japanese Asian style comics and illustrations. Her webcomics journey began in 2007 and she seeks inspiration from her everyday life, Japan, yoga, and struggles with dieting.

“I studied in Tokyo during the 2010-2014 and noticed a lot of cultural differences between Japan and my country so I started to draw these comic strips about them to deal with my culture shock,” Evacomics shared withBored Panda. “I hope my comics will help more foreigners to understand Japan and Japanese better, as well as to increase awareness and change how we behave.”

The artist shares her work on her social media accounts, Facebook and Instagram, and she compiled some of her webcomics into two books: Eva, Kopi and Matcha and Eva, Kopi and Matcha 2.0, which are available on Amazon and other ebooks.
