Illustrator Invited Artist to Re-Imagine His Sons Original Monster Drawings

You might remember Aaron Zenz, a picture book creator and a father of six creative kids from West Michigan. The illustrator, fine artist, college instructor, graphic recorder, and designer of multimedia published a picture book called Monsters Go Night-Night in which he included drawings his son Elijah made when he between the ages of 4 to 5.

After the book was released, Zenz invited other artists to re-imagine Elijah’s original monster drawings into fan art.

“Hundreds of illustrations came in. I created a Twitter account, Instagram account, and hashtag #‎MonstersGo and have continued posting weekly monster prompts, now provided by all six of my kids,” the artist shared with Bored Panda.

“There are currently around 1,250 pieces of MonstersGo artwork that have been created by artists from all over the world!”
