Michelle Halpern Will Inspire You to Live by Your Own Rules

Living life to the fullest was never, admittedly, our forte. But during these challenging times, filling our time with meaning has been extra hard. Travel blogger extraordinaire, Michelle Halpern, might show us how it’s done.

Since leaving her cushy corporate job in fashion, Halpern has visited over 40 countries on 6 continents, committing herself to living in the here and now and inspiring her thousands of followers to live life by their own rules.

“My goal is to show you that if you want to make travel happen in your life, it’s truly possible,” she writes on her website. “I’m here to guide you along the way, whether you’re struggling with money to pay for travel, feel held back by the schedule of a 9-to-5, or simply get stressed just at the thought of planning a trip in the first place, I’m here for you girl. YOU GOT THIS.”

Her blog not only provides valuable and tangible information that you can use throughout your adventures but gives you that extra nudge to dream a little bigger and live a bit more fully. Recent blog posts also acknowledge the hardship of traveling during COVID, and include a list of 15 creative ways to feel like you’re traveling when you can’t.

“After being grounded for 7 months, I’m planning a trip back to Tulum in November and I couldn’t be more excited,” updated Halpern in a recent Instagram post.

We can’t wait to follow her on her many adventures:

DREAM OF BEING YOUR OWN BOSS? ⚡️⚡️READ ON 👇🏼 One of the biggest lessons I've learned over these last 4 years being my own boss is that to stay on top of your game you have to keep learning. Things change SO FAST in this industry, and to succeed you have to be willing to keep trying new things, adapt, and add to your badass vault of skills 👩🏼‍💻 It can be overwhelming but also I think it's what keeps things interesting and fun! I'd take that over a boring cubicle job any day 🙋🏼‍♀️ What about you?! I've always taken the approach that it's a better use of my time to pay someone who already has the skills and success that I want to teach me, rather than try to piece things together myself. That's why I've spent over 10k in courses over the years from people I look up to, and I credit a lot of my success to these people who've been gracious enough to pass on their knowledge! If you want to learn from some of the best ONLINE ENTREPRENEURS, CONTENT CREATORS, and DIGITAL NOMADS our there who have put in the work and are now teaching their knowledge to help YOU succeed, then check out the Online Business Bundle. This week I made a goal to read 50 pages a day until the end of the year. I estimate that at that rate I can cruise through at least 15 books by the time we wrap up 2020 📚 The truth is, books have been some of my greatest teachers in life and my great escape, but despite the extra time on my hands this year I've barely finished any books. I've probably picked up 10 and finished 3 🤷🏼‍♀️ Instead, I've been watching about 5x the amount of normal TV that I typically do (which used to be practically none), and my reading time has been reserved for the few pages in the evening before my eyes can't remain open any longer. Anyone want to join me in this Fall 2020 reading challenge? Here's the insanely eclectic list I want to tackle by the end of the year 🤣Have you guys read any of these?! Do tell! A New Earth – Eckhart Tolle Slouching Toward Bethlehem – Joan Didion A Long Petal of the Sea – Isabel Allende I Will Teach You to Be Rich – Ramit Sethi How to Change Your Mind – Michael Pollan Living the Law of One – Carla Rueckert Untamed – Glennon Doyle American Dirt – Jeanine Cummins The Tenth Insight – James Redfield Profit First – Mike Michalowicz The Empath's Survival Guide – Judith Orloff The Great Alone – Kristin Hannah Stamped from the Beginning – Ibram X Kendi Rediscovering Life – Anthony de Mello Blue Zones – Dan Buettner Overstory – Richard Powers Maestra – L.S. Hilton Burnout – Emily Nagoski
