Step Into the Whimsical World of Paper Artist Fideli Sundqvis

As a young girl, Fideli Sundqvis dreamed of becoming an artist like Frida Kahlo, Niki de Saint Phalle, or Claude Monet. Now, years later, she realized her dream, but with a twist: instead of becoming a painter she focused her creative spirit on paper art.

“Since I was young, I always wanted to become an artist,” she told the Strictly Paper blog. “In early adolescence, I had a time when I thought art stuff was nerdy… but I turned back to these dreams after a few years and discovered the new genre of illustration and design, which suited me well. It has never really been ‘my cup of tea’ to go to school and work and to be forced to accept specific times and places. I’m very glad that I can make my own working and living schedule.”

Working full-time as an image-maker, prop designer, and paper artist, she has amassed more than 77k followers on Instagram, proving that her instinct was right.
