Today we are going to meet Shuri – an adorable black kitten that had numerous health problems since she was 2 months old, but managed to survive and is healthier than ever.
Shuri was the last black kitten from its litter, but her owners adopted her after seeing an online ad. She got her name after Shuri, The Warrior Princess, a character from Marvel’s *Black Panther* movie. It turned out that the kitty really lived up to her name – a day after arriving at her new home she got a fever and this was just the beginning of her struggles.
“Just 2 weeks after we got her, she had to be hospitalized because the fever was worse than the first time, her eyes and nose were badly infected”, Shuri’s owner told Bored Panda. “She was so fragile and weak, she had to be put on IV.“
Shuri also had a fungus that caused her to lose her beautiful fur, but after three months she got better. Then she had a serious disease that includes poor blood clotting, meaning that every injury could be fatal for the kitty.
Fortunately, after a long year of battling with health issues and all the treatments she went through, Shuri is now happy and healthy as you can see in the pictures below.
