Are you in the mood for some iconic New York bagels? Silly question, you most definitely are. And prepare to crave them even more.

Bagel is a type of bread that originated in Jewish communities in Poland around the 17th century and quickly spread around the world. They are, however, most popular in North America, where they represent a perfect choice for breakfast or a snack.

The fact is that most of us don’t even think about how bagels are actually made since we just want to transfer them as fast as possible to our mouth.  Luckily, the video producers over at food-based YouTube channel Tasty took a different approach and decided to give us a glimpse into the bagel-making process.

They visited Orwashers Bakery, one of New York City’s well-known bagel places, and captured everything that is involved in baking a New York style bagel. Thanks to them, we got to learn the bagel-dough recipe, how they get shaped, baking techniques, and much more.

Check out their video and get behind the scenes of bagel-making magic.
