Photographer Captures Churches in a New Perspective

Peter Li is an award-winning photographer who loves to capture his surroundings and transform is into a timeless beauty.

One of his amazing works is the panoramic photos of the spectacular architecture of churches around the world. He captures the entirety of the ceiling and supporting columns, which allows the viewer to feel what it’s like to stand at the center of these magnificent structures. One of the remarkable aspects of his panoramic photography is the way he emphasized the architectural symmetry of churches.

His photos take us to a different world, where reality meets fantasy. “Observing a three-dimensional space in its entirety gives us a view/perspective beyond what the eye can see,” he explains. “It breaks us from reality, plays with our perception of shape and form and creates a sense of another world. Through my photography, I hope to impart the otherworldly nature to the viewer, encouraging them to take a momentary step out of their reality,” Li told Colossal.
